Friends of Little Wall Lake

After more than a year of communications with various members of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, members of the Friends group were DENIED a permit to allow pumping to raise the lake level. (DNR Denial Letter below). 

 

Instead, Martin Konrad (515-281-6976 or Martin.Konrad@dnr.iowa.gov) was appointed by Director Chuck Gipp (515-281-8650) 
to organize a "working group" in May, 2103 to resolve problems with lake management. This group did not meet until June where members were briefed on the history of the lake. No decisions were made - other than to have a second meeting. The second meeting occured on Aug. 29 and again, no action was taken. Martin Conrad plans to schedule more meetings later this fall.
